We’ve worked with clients just like yourself. We know that having the right therapist is foundational for making the kind of change you so desperately need.

Meet Our Team

Natalie Fenchel, MSW, LCSW, CEDS (she/her)

As owner of Breath and Balance and a therapist in practice since 2013, I have seen people from all walks of life, all stages of readiness, and assisted many in finally seeking the help they deserve. I take a truly nonjudgemental approach in our work, and want to help you do more of what works and less of what doesn’t. Together we can build coping skills to improve your quality of life and rediscover the strengths you already have.

  • My theoretical approach pulls from CBT, DBT, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Motivational Interviewing. My career began with a Master’s degree from Rutgers University, completing the Addiction Counselor Training Program and working in various treatment programs serving adolescents, adults and their families with various mental health disorders.

I hold the credential of Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) from the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP). As an Eating Disorder Specialist, I am committed to helping you see the joy in a recovered life and find your way out from underneath the forces keeping you sick.

In addition to being a provider, I am also an approved Clinical Supervisor for LSW’s and LAC’s pursuing their independent licensure in New Jersey.

In my free-time, I prioritize the self-care that I encourage in my clients. I am constantly laughing at myself, trying new restaurants, leading a Zumba class and centering myself through yoga.

Cara Cuccinello, MSW, LCSW (she/her)

My passion and specialty is in help you navigate eating disorder recovery, distorted body image, and ending the dysfunctional diet and food-behavior spiral. I believe every person deserves to be at peace with themselves and what’s on their plate. I want to see you embody your most authentic self, and at the very least walk beside you as we try to figure out who that is.

  • My style is gentle but no-nonsense, humorous, and fosters your reflection, self-compassion, and resilience. I am eclectic and adaptable, DBT-informed, and my values are rooted firmly in health at every size, body neutrality and intuitive eating.

I also work well with other issues and populations, like people-pleasing, chronic disregulation, personality disorders, LGBTQ+ experiences, and high-stress lifestyles. No matter why you’re here, if you want to understand yourself, balance taking control and relinquishing it, and build a life worth living, I’m here to support you AND challenge you.

I graduated with an MSW from Rutgers, and I spent a large portion of my pre-license experience working with children experiencing behavioral issues, and engaging in social-emotional learning. The last five years of my career have been dedicated to eating disorder treatment at various levels of care. I am a Licensed Be Body Positive Facilitator, and currently finalizing my completion of the Certified Eating Disorder Specialist credential through extensive training with the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.

When I’m not in session, you can find me at a pottery wheel, with a cat in my lap or enjoying fresh air.
