Let’s talk about it during your initial assessment.

  • • Out of network means we do not accept insurance at the time services are rendered, and we are not in network with your plan. Why would this be? As providers, we want you to have the control to see who you want, how often you want, and for whatever reason you want. Since we are not beholden to insurance companies, we keep some of the barriers inherent in being in-network at bay.

    • We also understand that many people want to use the benefits they pay for. If you’d like a better estimate as to whether they’ll cover our services, call your insurance company and ask about your out-of-network benefits for behavioral health. We will provide you with a superbill for insurance reimbursement. We can also submit out of network claims electronically to your insurance company on your behalf if you elect so at intake (for participating companies).

  • A Good Faith Estimate is part of the No Surprises Act which protects you, the client, from unexpected charges. It is not a contract, rather an overview of cumulative fees that may occur over the course of treatment….. Click here to learn more!

  • Therapy is a complex process and can be described as not "linear," meaning that sometimes it can feel worse before it feels better. However, that is normal, and part of the process towards feeling better and achieving your goals. Due to this nature it can be challenging to predict precisely how long it will take to see improvements.

  • We take an individualized approach to therapy and use different modalities to assist our clients with meeting their needs and preferences. We will often use a combination of psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, CBT and DBT to name a few.

  • Psychotherapy is about processing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in order to build insight, and have a better understanding of your current stressors. This can allow you to form a new narrative about your life and start to remove barriers preventing you from your goals.

Motivational Interviewing is a therapeutic tool to elicit behavior change. This technique assists those who are feeling "stuck" and conflicted about what they want/need.

CBT stands for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which focuses on challenging and changing cognitive distortions. CBT connects thoughts, beliefs and feelings to behaviors, and aims to develop healthy coping skills.

DBT stands for Dialectical Behavior Therapy, which is an evidence based practice for the treatment of disorders such as borderline personality disorder, mood disorders, and those with suicidal ideation and self harm behaviors. It is broken into four components; Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness.

  • Any no-show or cancellation that occurs after the 24 hour mark will be charged the full session fee. Those charges cannot be included on the superbill so you would not get reimbursed. This allows us to better serve our clients who are in need of appointments.
